I pesci fossili dai monti Friulani
TOLMEZZO - Geoparco delle Alpi Carniche ? UTI della Carnia [Exhibition]
From Wednesday 3 June 2020 to Sunday 19 July 2020
The exhibition PESCI FOSSILI DAI MONTI FRIULANI, curated by the Friulian Museum of Natural History in Udine for the Geopark of the Carnic Alps, reopens on Monday 18th May, just before the lockdown and extended until 19th July.
The exhibition is dedicated to the fauna that populated the sea and coast environments in the Triassic period, more than 200 million years ago. Those ancient seabeds, rich in the remains of the organisms that lived there, are today the rocks that emerge in particular in the Tagliamento Valley and in the area of Raibl, in the Tarvisio area.
Routes and ways of visiting have been prepared that guarantee safe use. We remember, of course, the obligation to wear the mask.
The entrance is free. The exhibition "Fossil fishes from the Friulian mountains" will be open until 19 July 2020 at the following times:
UNTIL 31 MAY: from Monday to Saturday 10.30-12.30 / 15-17.30, Sunday 14-18 - closed on Tuesday
FROM 1st JUNE: Monday to Sunday 10.00-12.30 / 15.30-19.00 - closed on Tuesday
From June, free guided tours of the exhibition will be offered for groups of max 5 people and upon reservation.
